RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled CAD Designer - Pattern Maker to join our client's team in Pretoria East. Responsibilities
Develop and modify digital garment patterns using CAD software.
Ensure accuracy in pattern grading, construction, and fit adjustments.
Collaborate with designers and production teams to refine patterns and finalize specifications.
Interpret design sketches and technical packs to create precise digital patterns.
Optimize patterns for fabric efficiency while maintaining garment integrity.
Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to improve the final product.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pattern-making technologies.
Maintain accurate records of patterns, alterations, and production notes.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.
Proven experience as a CAD Designer or Pattern Maker in the clothing industry.
Proficiency in CAD software for pattern-making (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex).
Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and grading.
Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with designers and production teams.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
