Junior Farm Manager

Milking - Maintaining system and functionality of the milking procedure. Make decisions and minor changes.
Breeding - Ensuring cow fertility, conducting AI and vet run.
Pasture - Monitoring and management of pastures and irrigation and sharing feedback where required.
Calf rearing & Calving- Management of calf rearing in its entirety as well as calving
Staff management oversee general staff and assist in staff training . Delegate and motivate staff. Staff will indirectly report to this role
Computers Use of computer programs, data capturing and implementation of SOPs
General assistance and support to dairy manager
Autonomy to make more decisions
Responsible for running milking over weekends in dairy
Diploma in Agriculture
Minimum of 3 years relevant Dairy experience

General competence required
Dedicated
Passion for dairy farming
Hard worker
Observant and detail orientated
Ability to train others
Sound attitude
