Job Description

The Junior Delivery Manager will have experience using digital technologies to deliver new products using agile methodologies.


They are responsible for delivery management of technology products using internal software development and engineering teams as well as requirements gathering and getting stories ready where required. The Junior Delivery Manager will collaborate with product teams, product owners and architecture to manage the successful technical delivery of initiatives and empower the team to deliver high quality, secure and scalable products.


The role provides delivery management and business analysis for bespoke products. Note this role does not require hands-on engineering. The ideal candidate will be someone with a Business Analysis background looking to move into a Delivery Manager role.

Requirements



What You'll Do:



Overseeing the delivery of products and services or functional components using agile methodologies. Managing and facilitating a cross-functional agile delivery team Coordinating agile methodology ceremonies such sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives Identification of risks and mitigating actions In conjunction with the product owner or business analyst, overseeing the creation of a backlog of prioritised and refined user stories with acceptance criteria Ensuring that the end products are of the highest quality, fully tested and deployed within timelines Coordinating activities across teams and the delivery lifecycle including business and systems analysis, architecture, security, development, test, change, service delivery, infrastructure and operations, and project management Monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies Using data insights to inform the performance of the team and opportunities for continuous improvement Ensure that high level and detailed requirements for selected projects are captured from business stakeholders in a variety of suitable formats Ensure user stories are created based on the requirements in the agreed format and system Ensure acceptance criteria is included for each story in the product backlog Ensure that product backlogs are created and refined on an on-going basis as market and customer requirements change

Who You Are:



Recent and demonstrable experience as a Junior Scrum Master or Team Lead, working on digital or technology projects Excellent interpersonal skills, possessing the confidence to build relationships with all levels of stakeholder. Experience working on technology projects with cross functional teams Experience working with a diversity of skillsets including architects, analysts, designers, researchers, product owners and developers Team player who can coordinate Agile ceremonies, such as planning sessions, reviews and retrospectives Strong organisational skills; a self-starter, comfortable working in both process driven and ambiguous environments Able to manage multiple tasks or small projects at the same time Ability to build successful relationships stakeholders and end-users Owns problems, identifies, and works with the right people to solve problems quickly within own remit and wider teams Comfortable asking for help and recognising when to escalate to others for assistance. Detail oriented but can zoom out for bigger picture thinking. Reviews and looks for efficiencies in ways of working Implements plans to ensure objectives are achieved or exceeded; focuses on delivery Shows and encourages a determination to achieve high standards Fluent in English; outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail; communicates clearly and concisely using language appropriate to audience Demonstrable experience in a business analysis role in a digital project delivery team Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field Business Analysis Degree or Diploma Knowledge of Microsoft development languages, Microsoft Azure, Microservices is desirable Agile certification (Scrum / Kanban) and/or project management certification
