Job Description
The Eastern Cape Gambling Board is a statutory body established for the purposes of regulating gambling in the Eastern Cape Province. The Board is located in the scenic coastal city of East London.
Requirements:
o National Diploma in Internal Audit / BCom Degree with at least Auditing and Accounting as major subjects or relevant qualification o 2 years experience in a Gambling / Regulatory /Auditing environment o Valid Code 08 Driver's license.Competencies and Skills
: o Planning and organizing skills o Analytical Skills o Knowledge of applicable and / or relevant legislation o Good Communication skills o Stakeholder Management o Report writing skills o Attention to detail o Ability to keep calm under pressure, especially when there are tight deadlines o Ability to think objectively.Key Performance Areas
: o Plan , conduct and report on the compliance audits for all Site Operators (type A, B C and D) and Bookmakers licenses in the Eastern Cape Province including review of annual financial statements o Plan, conduct and report on the revenue audits for Route and Site Operator and any other smaller licensees in the Eastern Cape Province o Create and update working papers o Recommend update Audit Programs to the Senior Auditor o Maintain monthly registers for non- compliance findings, under / over payment of taxes o Review quarterly reports submitted by all licensees o Conduct revenue analysis for all licensees o Reconciliation on quarterly basis of the annual fees paid for either employees / devices / licensees and any other registrations.
