Junior Accrual Accountant - MidrandSoluGrowth is looking for a Junior Accrual Accountant to join a dynamic and rapidly growing telecommunications company that is at the forefront of innovation. This is a 4 months fixed-term contract position.RESPONSIBILITIESAccruing for SAP expired lease by pulling expiry list and prepare CPI calculations for lease rentalsPrepare CPI Remeasurement Calculation (manual calc in Excel) with disclosuresPreparation of activation and cashflow report and compare these with lease accrual reconciliation to determine if lease should be removed from the accrual reconciliationPreparation of report (using VIPP) for leases that have been paired and that should be removed on the accrual reconciliationPreparation of report for leases that have been locked on SAP and subsequently removing the lease on accrual reconciliationReporting to Management as well as process owners on any lease added/removed/amendedSubmission of accrual reconciliation file to Financial shared service Centre for the Preparation of monthly journalsSend updated list of Decommissioned sites/ Grantee (Grantor) Sites to the regions which will form part of lease removalsPrepare presentation of results for monthly meeting with explanationsPrepare Memos for expired leases to be submitted to different regions for authorizationGood understanding of SAP to ensure alignment with management reporting objectives and requirements.Perform SOX testing during testing cycles for financial reporting and GL. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCERelevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience & knowledge of accounting principles and accrual accounting.Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelProficiency in SAPStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
