Our client is a well established Charterd Accountant, looking for either a Junior Accountant or Bookkeeper to join their small team.

Working hours are very flexible and only require maximum 7 hours a day, 18 days annual leave, no medical aid or pension benefits but good tax structuring.

Salary is negotiable depending on level of experience. If you can prepare annual financial statements, salary will go up to R20k per month.

Our client will consider candidates with and without qualifications but experience in a similar role is and fully computer literate is essential.
Overview of duties:

  • Complete daily cash functions like account tracking, payroll and wage allocations, budgeting, donating, and cash, and banking reconciliations.
  • Document cash, credit, fixed assets, accrued expenses, and line of credit transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts and reviewed expense data, net worth, and assets.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting processes to drive financial accuracy.
  • Prepare and file tax forms to meet needs of customers.
  • Use advanced software to prepare documents, reports, and presentations. (Xero, Sage)
  • Use accounting software to issue tax returns and prepare consolidated reports.(Xero)
  • Evaluate and improve financial records to make important business decisions.
