Job Overview:
The Head Chef will lead our kitchen team & oversee all kitchen operations.
This individual will be responsible for improving current menu items, as well as redesigning the menu & introducing new & specials dishes.
They need to implement & manage kitchen stock controls.
Ensures the kitchen adheres to health & safety standards.
Train, coach & improve all kitchen team members across all disciplines.
Key duties include, but not limited to:
Menu development
Develop & manage food inventory systems
Work closely with the management team to align kitchen operations
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean & compliant kitchen
Train & supervise kitchen staff
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership & interpersonal skills with a focus on team development. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene standards & food regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef
Minimum of 5 years experience in Italian Cuisine
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R15000,00 - R25000,00 per month
