We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at managing a team while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
:
Menu Development:
Design innovative and seasonal menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target market.
Ensure all dishes reflect creativity, quality, and consistency.
Team Leadership:
Train, and manage the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a strong work ethic.
Schedule and delegate tasks effectively to meet service and prep demands.
Kitchen Operations:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety standards.
Monitor food preparation, portion sizes, and presentation to maintain consistency.
Manage inventory, reduce food waste, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Financial Management:
Plan and manage food costs, ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
Collaborate with management on budget planning and supplier negotiations.
Track and minimise wastage to meet financial goals.
Compliance & Hygiene:
Ensure the kitchen complies with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
Customer Experience:
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
Address guest feedback and adapt menus or dishes as needed to meet expectations.
Requirements
:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, high-quality kitchen.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of food trends, techniques, and ingredients.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in kitchen operations, budgeting, and cost control.
Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communicator with staff and management.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt quickly.
