Position Overview:

Fin is looking for a highly skilled systems administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage software, hardware, and networks. The System administrator will be responsible for monitoring the helpdesk, new device setup, resolving staff IT issues raised, documenting fixes for issues raised and resolving network issues. The Systems administrator will also be required to support the office router and firewall.

Key Responsibilities

User Support

  • Monitor the helpdesk to provide timely support to users
  • First Line support for all user issues
  • Investigate, Troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware and software problems.
  • Create user documentation for different system developed.
  • Document solutions for learning and self-service setup
Network Support
  • Monitor and ensure 99% local network uptime.
  • Diagnose and resolve low level network issues and escalate issues where necessary
System setup, configuration, and monitoring
  • User device setup as directed
  • Monitoring systems for uptime and faults
  • Product and feature configuration
Information Governance
  • Monitor and enforce IT policies.
  • Manage the device inventory.
  • Organize and ensure documentation pertaining to client requests, system changes are filed and stored securely.
Router and firewall management
  • Monitor the router for alerts and use metrics to ensure efficiency.
  • Monitor the firewall for security alerts and implement remedial actions.
Education/Skills/Experience
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in information technology
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • CompTIA N+ certification
  • 2 Years in local and remote IT Support field
  • 1 year experience in Java programming
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office programs, especially a good working knowledge of MS excel.
  • The key traits for the individual in this position are attention to detail ,team player, excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability, propensity to own a project or task, self-motivated and driven, ability to work independently and with a team, ability to work under pressure.
