Job Purpose Summary:
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all IT issues, whether hardware or software-related, and providing feedback within agreed timelines to the IT Manager and both internal and external stakeholders.Location: Montague Gardens, Cape TownPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues.
Install and configure software, hardware, PCs, and laptops.
Ensure systems are backed up and properly maintained.
Document all tasks and duties performed.
Provide remote management and support as needed.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including suppliers and ISPs.
Offer first-line support for Frequently Asked Questions.
Maintain and update the company website with product details and industry news.
Develop and maintain the management reporting application.Minimum Requirements:
Education:
o Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (essential).
o IT-related degree/diploma (advantageous).Experience:
o Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of MS Server software and management.
o Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
o Understanding and management of Active Directory on MS Server.
o Experience with creating Users/Roles in a Domain environment.
o Knowledge of TCP/IP and IT infrastructures.
o Competence in PC/printer fault finding and resolution.
o Web development platform knowledge is a plus.Skills and Attributes:
