Job Description

The school is a bilingual, co educational primary and high school in the Cape Town CBD. Technology is extensively used both in the classroom as well as in the administration. You will work in a team with 2 other technicians and the IT Manager. Our approach to technology is very hands on: You will work with various items e.g. computers, iPads but also with a drill and a grinder at times.

Your tasks will include:

• Manage the Helpdesk System
• Provide technical support to staff, learners and parents on all school relevant IT Systems
• Provide support on site, telephonically or via remote systems
• Install and maintain hardware, software, AV systems and network infrastructure
• Process device loans and returns (iPads, Laptops etc.) as well as insurance claims for devices
• Technical support for school events and functions
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance on electrical installations of the school
• Minor electrical installations

Requirements:

• Matric
• Experience in IT Support
• Sound knowledge of Windows and Office Applications
• Electrical Qualification N2 or higher with trade test
• Min. 3 years working experience with electrical contractor
• Excellent English language skills; German language skills advantageous
• Only South Africans or permit holders can apply
