Join our dynamic team as we digitize South Africa's largest public transport network. You'll primarily be testing and quality assuring our fintech solutions that directly impact millions of lives daily, with potential to evolve into a development role as we grow.

Duties

Primary Focus - Testing & QA:

Test web and mobile applications developed by our offshore team Conduct comprehensive quality assurance across our payment ecosystem Perform on-site testing at taxi ranks across Gauteng
Validate security and privacy implementations
Document bugs, issues, and improvement recommendations
Coordinate with offshore development team on testing feedback

Support Activities:

Assist local customer support team with technical tier 1 issues
Help with system implementation and troubleshooting at taxi locations Provide user acceptance testing from a local market perspective

Future Development Opportunities:

Potential to transition into full stack development role Mobile app development (native iOS/Android)
Web application development as team grows

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

Strong testing methodologies and QA practices
Web and mobile application testing experience Understanding of security and privacy standards
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills for offshore team collaboration

Preferred Experience:

Fintech or payment systems testing Mobile app testing (iOS/Android) API testing and validation
User experience testing

Full stack development background (for future growth)

Working Style:

Ability to collaborate effectively with remote/offshore teams Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Customer-focused mindset
Willingness to work in dynamic, fast-paced startup environment

Requirements

Based in Gauteng area

(essential requirement)

Regular visits to taxi ranks for field testing and implementation

Flexible working arrangements with significant field work component

Must be proficient in isiZulu

Contract Type:

Initially freelance, with potential to evolve to full-time
