We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to join our information technology solutions team. You will serve as the face of the company, be based at a client location for installations, maintenance, or repairs of servers and networks. This may include working with email, printers, video conferencing equipment, and VPN. For customers who have connectivity or hardware issues, you will troubleshoot via online chat, phone, or in-person to fix the problem. Our preferred applicant has at least five years of technical experience and a customer-oriented mindset.
Duties and Responsibilities
Install equipment and software to meet client needs
Maintain systems to ensure they run properly
Perform repairs when necessary, either through online chat, phone, or in-person
Train client staff on how to use new systems
Requirements and Qualifications
Matric certificate; an associate or bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field is preferred, Comptia A+ & N+
5+ years of technical experience in the industry
Proficiency with the installation and repair of servers and standard office equipment
Own reliable transport required to visit multiple clients per day
