Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for an IT Coordinator in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future.
As our IT Coordinator you will provide expert-level technical support and incident resolution at both first and second-line levels, ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the organization's IT infrastructure. You will also coordinate, assist, and train end users to operate computer hardware, software, and peripherals within Scatec systems.
Main responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, printers, and conferencing solutions
• Create and manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions across Scatec systems
• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Set up computers, deliver technology onboarding, and create user guides for employees
• Monitor IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with policies, security regulations, and best practices
• Manage ITSM tickets, prioritize queries, and ensure timely resolution
• Handle hardware failures, warranty claims, and vendor negotiations
• Collaborate with Scatec's Global IT Team, providing input on upgrades and maintaining partner/vendor relations

Qualifications and competencies

• B Degree/Honors in IT or related field (Information Technology, Systems Support, Communication Networks
• A minimum of 8 years working experience, 1st & 2nd Line support experience, proven ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ideally a Microsoft 365 Certification (Windows Client (MD-102)
• Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
• Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
• Endpoint Administrator Associate), ITIL 4 and COBIT 5 certification advantageaous
• IT Security (Firewalls, software services and security policy)
• Independent, proactive & resilient to IT site/field support
• General work ethic of trust, honesty, integrity, punctuality, and diligence
