Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Administrator to join our manufacturing company's technology team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing network systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to end users. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux-based systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with backup and recovery systems.
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Network Management:
  • Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network security.
  • Collaborate with network service providers to maintain connectivity and resolve network-related problems.
  • Hardware and Software Support:
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets and ensure their proper documentation.
  • System Administration:
  • Administer and maintain servers, including operating system installation and upgrades, system backups, and user account management.
  • Implement and enforce security measures, including user authentication, access controls, and data encryption.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address any performance issues or bottlenecks.
  • Maintain system documentation, including configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Data Backup and Recovery:
  • Develop and implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Perform regular backups and test data recovery processes to ensure reliability.
  • Manage storage systems and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide prompt and effective technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide guidance on IT policies and procedures.
  • Conduct user training sessions to enhance technology literacy and productivity.
  • IT Security:
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Monitor systems for security breaches and promptly respond to security incidents.
  • Stay up to date with emerging security threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
