Role Purpose
To support the Investment Reporting and Middle Office functions by assisting with financial reporting, valuation, and product control activities for trades and instruments managed on the Murex trading platform, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting that supports portfolio management and regulatory requirements

Duties & Responsibilities
INTERNAL PROCESS:
Execute and maintain key financial reporting outputs, including Statutory Reporting, Tax Reporting, Management Reporting, SARB Reporting, Portfolio Accounting Reporting, and Trade Desk Reporting
Resolve queries from relevant stakeholders, including the Corporate Actuarial team
Perform data cleaning and data management across source reports, including SQL-based reports
Apply basic scripting and coding skills where applicable; additional skills will be developed on the job
Support automation and innovation initiatives to replace manual processes, with a strong focus on improving efficiency and data accuracy
Stay abreast of current market developments and industry best practices to ensure reporting aligns with regulatory and industry standards
Support Middle Office automation initiatives by coordinating technical briefings, documenting current processes, and assisting with testing activities
Contribute to a culture that promotes best practice, continuous learning, process improvement, and team cohesiveness within the Middle Office function
CLIENT PROCESS:
Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders of BSM
Deliver on service level agreements applicable to clients and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that client expectations are managed
Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
