This internship offers hands-on exposure within Group Investment Services, supporting investment asset reporting in a life insurance context. You will work alongside experienced finance professionals, gain insight into financial markets and regulatory reporting, and contribute to accurate, high-quality investment reporting in a dynamic and collaborative environment

Role Purpose
To gain practical skill and experience by assisting experienced Group Finance professionals by focusing on Investment Assets Reporting within a Life Insurance company. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial markets, investment instruments, and regulatory reporting processes in a dynamic corporate environment
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and instruments, including bonds, equities, derivatives, and alternative investments
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BCom or similar degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management, or a related field)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • No work experience required
Duties & Responsibilities
INTERNAL PROCESS:
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of investment asset reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Perform reconciliations between investment systems
  • Collaborate with finance and investment teams to gather and validate data
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within reporting workflows
CLIENT PROCESS:
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that client expectations are managed
  • Participate and contribute to a culture that builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback, and provides exceptional client service

Competencies
