Introduction

This internship offers hands-on exposure within Group Investment Services, supporting investment asset reporting in a life insurance context. Role Purpose


To gain practical skill and experience by assisting experienced Group Finance professionals by focusing on Investment Assets Reporting within a Life Insurance company. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial markets, investment instruments, and regulatory reporting processes in a dynamic corporate environment



Requirements

KNOWLEDGE:



Microsoft Office Suite
Basic understanding of financial markets and instruments, including bonds, equities, derivatives, and alternative investments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:





BCom or similar degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management, or a related field)


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:



No work experience required



Duties & Responsibilities

INTERNAL PROCESS:



Assist in the preparation and analysis of investment asset reports for internal and external stakeholders
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Perform reconciliations between investment systems
Collaborate with finance and investment teams to gather and validate data
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within reporting workflows

CLIENT PROCESS:





Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that client expectations are managed
Participate and contribute to a culture that builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback, and provides exceptional client service
Participate and contribute to a culture of work-centric thinking, productivity, service delivery, and quality management

Competencies



Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial instruments.
