The Intervention Manager will lead and manage interventions. This will involve the design, strategy, planning, communicating, monitoring, and reporting on all assigned interventions. She/he will develop and maintain close relationships with businesses while overseeing and coordinating the implementation of all interventions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enforce and adhere to Company Disciplinary Code of Conduct and policies and procedures
Manage deployments and co-ordinate any essential actions required for a successful deployment
Incident management and escalation where necessary
Maintain discipline of staff
Direction, Training and supervision
Implement, maintain action plan to ensure safety of staff, assets and property
Demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills
Record keeping
Building strong and long-lasting client relationships
Facilitate optimal service delivery
Conduct Site Inspections, Risk Assessments & Risk-Mitigation strategies
Understand risks associated with the use of physical intervention skills and how to limit the risks
Implementation of Personal safety awareness and techniques
Implementation of intervention techniques that are innovative, ground-breaking and differentiates the Company from its competitors
Continuously communicate to staff necessary changes of intervention strategies and strategic placement of resources
Ensure job descriptions and SOPs are in place
Responsible for all equipment
Managing staff schedules, time attendance, leave schedules, postings, redeployment and overtime
Lead the intervention unit & Tactical operations.
Manage deployments in time of unrest
Training of tactical and intervention officers
Firearms management in the region
Complete regulation 21 training
Renew Firearm licenses
Advance driving training to the officers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Matric Certified
PSIRA Grade A Registered
Relevant tertiary education will be advantageous
Code 08 driver's License with own reliable vehicle
Solid Computer Proficiency
Valid Firearm Competency is mandatory
Minimum 5 Year Security industry experience, 2 years in intervention and 3 years in management
Vast experience in civil unrest / strike action prevention, control, intervention team deployment, strategic placement of resources to best secure and protect people and assets
Previous SAPS experience will be an advantage
