A minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in tactical security operations and riot control, with a solid background in law enforcement, preferably from a police or similar agency.
A PSIRA Registered (relevant grade as required for the role)
A Security Management: Strong knowledge of security operations, risk management, and compliance with industry standards
A Intervention Management: Proven ability to lead intervention, tactical, and riot-control teams, including deployment planning, crisis response, and high-risk operations
A proven leader with strong team management skills, able to coordinate and motivate large teams across various operations
Excellent communication and coordination abilities are essential, especially when liaising with local authorities and security forces
Responsibilities Operational Management
Responsibility to enforce and adhere to the Company Disciplinary Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
Responsibility to manage expenditure and costs (overtime, CAPEX, uniforms, fuel, etc.).
Responsibility to manage deployments and co-ordinate essential actions required for successful deployment
Responsibility to implement and maintain action plans to ensure the safety of staff, assets, and property.
Crisis Management
Responsibility to lead the charge during high-risk situations, including riots, public disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring rapid response and effective resolution
Liaise with Authorities
Responsibility to act as the primary liaison with SAPS (South African Police Service), local authorities, and Disaster Management, ensuring seamless coordination during incidents
Training and Development
Responsibility to assist with audit requests and act as the primary liaison for internal and external payroll audits
Staff & Resource Management
Responsibility to manage staff schedules, time and attendance, leave schedules, postings, redeployments, and overtime
Responsibility to oversee firearms management in the region, including regulation 21 training and renewal of firearm licenses
