Job Summary
Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in tactical security operations and riot control, with a solid background in law enforcement, preferably from a police or similar agency.
  • A PSIRA Registered (relevant grade as required for the role)
  • A Security Management: Strong knowledge of security operations, risk management, and compliance with industry standards
  • A Intervention Management: Proven ability to lead intervention, tactical, and riot-control teams, including deployment planning, crisis response, and high-risk operations
  • A proven leader with strong team management skills, able to coordinate and motivate large teams across various operations
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities are essential, especially when liaising with local authorities and security forces
Responsibilities
Operational Management
  • Responsibility to enforce and adhere to the Company Disciplinary Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsibility to manage expenditure and costs (overtime, CAPEX, uniforms, fuel, etc.).
  • Responsibility to manage deployments and co-ordinate essential actions required for successful deployment
  • Responsibility to implement and maintain action plans to ensure the safety of staff, assets, and property.
Crisis Management
  • Responsibility to lead the charge during high-risk situations, including riots, public disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring rapid response and effective resolution
Liaise with Authorities
  • Responsibility to act as the primary liaison with SAPS (South African Police Service), local authorities, and Disaster Management, ensuring seamless coordination during incidents
Training and Development
  • Responsibility to assist with audit requests and act as the primary liaison for internal and external payroll audits
Staff & Resource Management
  • Responsibility to manage staff schedules, time and attendance, leave schedules, postings, redeployments, and overtime
  • Responsibility to oversee firearms management in the region, including regulation 21 training and renewal of firearm licenses
