This is a dynamic customer facing role. Focused on providing technical, commercial and operational assistance to branches and their customers. Working across the tools and equipment product range including PPE, welding, locks, hand tools, power tools, air tools and more.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Act as the primary technical support contact for branch teams, assisting with product identifications, application queries, specification matching and quoting in an accurate and timely manner
Interpret and confirm product requirements using images, sketches, physical samples or customer descriptions, building and maintaining relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
Offer practical hands-on knowledge of tools and industrial equipment to support the selling process, improve customer satisfaction and increase close ratios
Assist branches with technical solutions for tenders, projects, and customer-specific needs via phone, email or other channels.
Proactively resolve sales- related issues by working closely with procurement, suppliers and internal stakeholders
Provide direct or indirect (face to face or virtual) job mentoring and product training to colleagues as well as branch teams to build their technical knowledge and improve their confidence in selling solutions effectively
Keep up to date with new products, trends and technologies relevant to our market and customer base
Maintain accurate records and prepare activity, lead generation and forecasting reports as required
Minimum Requirements
Matric
Further training or certification in Product Sales, Inventory management, system, or data governance will be advantageous
Experience in operational systems, product data management and supplier coordination
Familia with product life cycles, particularly in tools and industrial equipment
ERP System experience, preferably K8 and proficiency in MS Office tools
Excel level 3
