Job Purpose

Primarily responsible for maintaining accurate, consistent and comprehensive product data within the business systems, while ensuring effective operational support across the branch network.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Ensure all product data - including cost price, selling price and supplier information is accurate, regularly reviewed and aligned with customer and sales analysis updates and objectives Maintain accurate and descriptive product names, correctly linked to supplier part numbers, and enriched with relevant search terms to improve product discoverability by branches Conduct regular reviews to correct spelling, unit of measure (UOM) , formatting, and ensure naming conventions are consistent across the system and product catagories Keep product system statuses (e.g active/inactive, availability) on K8 updated in line with supplier updates and internal requirements Validate product descriptions and pricing for consistency across related products categories and ranges Investigate and escalate discrepancies in pricing or supplier data to procurement or relevant stakeholders Verify the correct supplier is linked to each product, ensuring alignment with commercial agreement and business expectations. Review and action strategies in conjunction with Sales & Product Managers to reduce aging and obsolete stock articles

Minimum Requirements

Matric Further training or certification in Inventory management, system, or data governance will be advantageous Experience in operational systems, product data management and supplier coordination Familia with product life cycles, particularly in tools and industrial equipment ERP System experience, preferably K8 and proficiency in MS Office tools Excel level 3
