dotted reporting line to the Senior Manager: Organisational Effectiveness

, the

Internal Community Manager

plays a pivotal role in activating the V&A Waterfront's internal culture, voice, and employee experience through strategic, creative, and integrated internal communication. This role is designed to bridge the gap between brand, business, and people -- ensuring that what we say internally is consistent with who we are externally.



This individual is responsible for

crafting and executing a compelling internal communication strategy

that aligns with the V&A Waterfront's external brand and communication objectives while reflecting the unique character and culture of our internal community. As the internal custodian of our employee brand narrative, this role ensures that all communication touchpoints across platforms, channels, and experiences are intentional, clear, inclusive, and connected.



Working closely with both the

People & Culture

team and the broader

Marketing

function, this role supports strategic change, amplifies employee engagement, and enhances talent experience through high-impact storytelling, campaigns, and content. They are expected to provide expert guidance on cultural change communication, deliverables for engagement initiatives, and internal brand representation across channels like

LinkedIn

, intranet, newsletters, and on-the-ground activations.

Internal Communication Strategy:


Co-design and lead an integrated internal communications strategy that supports business priorities, enhances employee connection, and aligns with the organisation's external marketing and communication narrative

Internal Platforms Management:


Own and manage all internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, internal newsletters, WhatsApp channels, digital screens), ensuring content is current, relevant, and engaging.

Internal Brand and EVP Activation:


Ensure the internal articulation of our brand, tone of voice, and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is consistently and accurately reflected across all touchpoints, including

LinkedIn

and other external employer brand platforms.

Staff Photography & Visual Identity:


Coordinate annual staff photo updates and ensure high-quality, brand-aligned visual assets that support both internal communication and external employer brand representation.

Content Creation & Campaign Delivery:


Create compelling employee-facing content, campaigns, and storytelling initiatives that foster connection, recognition, and purpose, including support for People & Culture campaigns such as wellness, leadership, culture, learning, and transformation. Connect external marketing initiatives to the internal V&A community

Change & Culture Communication:


Partner with the Senior Manager: Organisational Effectiveness to support key organisational change initiatives through well-crafted, transparent, and timely communication strategies that build trust and drive adoption.

Insight-Driven Communication:


Leverage data, feedback, and people analytics to inform messaging strategies and continuously improve the impact of internal communication across departments and levels. Author a variety of internal and executive communications--including presentations, announcements, blogs, email messages, video and web content, newsletters, internal branding etc. as part of the broader communications strategy

Cross-Functional Alignment:


Act as a strategic integrator across teams, ensuring internal messaging is cohesive, well-timed, and aligned with business-wide initiatives -- from product launches to leadership updates and cultural milestone.

Research and Evaluation



Measure and analyse the effectiveness of the communication platforms, interactions to messaging and campaigns.



Research innovative trends to identify opportunities, improvements, and unique solutions for challenges and improvements


Financial Management




Plan, track, evaluate, analyse and ensure compliance with all communication and project budgets



Educational requirements relevant to this job:




Media, Communication, Marketing Degree / Experience critical

Experience requirements relevant to this job:




5+ Years' relevant EX, and/or Marketing Management and/or Project Management experience * Internal Communications experience would be advantageous
