Rhenish Primary School seeks to appoint an Intermediate/Senior Phase Teacher (SGB appointment)
Rhenish Primary is a leading co-educational, English medium, primary school based in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The successful candidate should have a vibrant, dynamic personality, bring warmth and excitement to the classroom and have a love for seeing children thrive in all aspects of school life.
The following competencies are essential in the candidate we seek:

• Excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills
• Strong English Home Language verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with children, teachers, parents and visitors
• A strong understanding of curriculum requirements of the Intermediate Phase across multiple subject and grade areas and in particular English as a home language
• An innovative approach to teaching the 21st Century Child, including the use of IT in the classroom
• Self-motivated, energetic and reliable
• Work as part of a team with other staff and management
• A strong understanding of the diverse nature of the pupils within your care
• Capable of coaching a wide variety of sports and to be actively involved in the extra-curricular program of the school - experience and knowledge in coaching boys' sport will be advantageous
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in the same/a similar type of position and environment.
• Ambition to serve in a variety of leadership roles within the school
• Previous experience as a Subject Head or Grade Head
• Experience in teaching Social Sciences: Geography and History in the Intermediate and Senior Phase
• Fully support the ethos and values of the school which includes accountability, Belonging, Community, Curiosity, perseverance and respect.
• A teaching qualification or a recognised degree/diploma appropriate to the position.
• SACE registration and a valid police clearance certificate
