Overview:
Hiring an Insurance Authorization Agent to manage and process medical service and procedure authorizations. This role requires strong communication, knowledge of healthcare insurance guidelines, and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
Submit and track insurance authorization requests for medical services Verify coverage and authorization requirements with payers Liaise with providers, facilities, and insurance representatives Maintain accurate records and documentation of all case activity Follow up on pending authorizations to avoid treatment delays
Requirements:
Experience with medical insurance authorization processes Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid Strong administrative and communication skills Ability to interpret medical terminology and insurance policies * Proficiency with EMR systems or authorization platforms
