Job Description

The Information Specialist will support the monitoring and evaluation team within the Corporate Strategy and Innovation department of the organisation. The primary objective of this role is to ensure efficient data management, knowledge sharing, and information dissemination to support evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelorxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s degree in information management, data science, or a related field.
• Masterxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s degree will be added advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

• At least 4-7 years' experience in Monitoring and Evaluation within the relevant field
• Experience in managing and organizing large datasets, preferably in a monitoring and evaluation context.
• Knowledge of data management principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and indicators.
• Proficiency in data visualisation tools and software.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools.
• Experience and knowledge in using information management systems and technologies.
• Experience and familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations.

• Data Management: Developing and maintaining efficient systems for data collection, storage, and retrieval, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
• Knowledge Sharing: Facilitating the sharing of monitoring and evaluation findings, reports, and best practices with internal stakeholders, promoting a culture of learning and knowledge exchange.
• Information Dissemination: Preparing and distributing regular updates, newsletters, and knowledge products related to monitoring and evaluation, ensuring timely and relevant information reaches key stakeholders.
• Technology and Tools: Exploring and implementing innovative technologies and tools to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaboration and Support: Collaborating with the monitoring and evaluation team members to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of information systems.
