Industrial Water Process Engineer - Somerset WestDuties/Responsibilities: Assess the need for treatment steps and select the most suitable equipment Analyze industrial effluent processes for suitability, efficiency, and effectiveness of selected processes Analyse and recommend chemical, biological, or other wastewater treatment methods to treat effluent Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of wastewater treatment facilities Designs layout and specifications for various systems and equipment Reviews and critiques water and wastewater treatment system proposals, plans, and designs Analyzes disposal methods or treatments for sludge and waste products Collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors Ensure designs conforms to municipal and national laws, regulations, standards and specifications Project manage solutions from inception through design, fabrication installation and completion Provide technical direction or supervision to junior engineers, engineering or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians, or other technical personnel Oversee the construction, installation and commissioning of treatment systems Project manage the construction of new and refurbished wastewater treatment plantsRequired Skills/Abilities: Ultra Filtration (UF) design and installation abilities Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to design safe, efficient, and effective treatment systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, computer-aided Design (CAD) software, and other relevant analytical, scientific, or monitoring software. Thorough understanding of applicable government environmental and safety regulations.Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in civil, mechanical or chemical engineering required; Masters degree highly preferred. Proven Process Engineering Design Experience Proven UF project delivery track record Registered ECSA Professional Accreditation (Minimum candidacy required.)
