Our client in the manufacturing industry is currently looking to employ an Industrial Engineer to their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

• National Diploma or bachelors degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production environments (Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Planning, or Supply Chain Management).
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects.
• Strong affinity for manufacturing processes, particularly in serial production environments.
• Demonstrated social and intercultural competence.
• Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and project management methodologies.
• Proficient in SAP EP1/S4 systems.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within international, multicultural environments.
• Strong analytical, goal-oriented, and structured mindset with enthusiasm for new challenges.
• Good command of English (spoken and written); knowledge of German is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, analyze, and optimize the production system to enhance operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain Industrial Engineering (IE) master data.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects across the entire value stream, focusing on process improvements, change management, and product launches.
• Evaluate production KPIs (e.g., OEE, TEEP) to support continuous improvement initiatives and informed decision-making.
• Support product cost calculations and cost-optimization activities.
• Implement and improve workplace design through time and motion studies (e.g., MTM, REFA).
• Plan, manage, and monitor capacity and investment planning processes.
• Create, maintain, and update Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA) documentation.
• Collaborate effectively within an international, interdisciplinary team environment.
• Ensure all relevant certificates are attached to your application.
