ICT Manager / Interim CIO

Job Summary

ABD Consultants is seeking an experienced

ICT Manager / Interim CIO

to support and lead ICT advisory and transformation engagements across our client portfolio. The role requires a senior technology leader capable of operating at strategic, architectural, and governance levels while providing hands-on leadership and oversight of ICT environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with executive stakeholders to align technology strategy with business objectives, strengthen ICT governance, and guide complex technology initiatives.

This is a client-facing consulting role, suited to an ICT leader with strong judgement, structure, and delivery discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of ICT strategies aligned to client business goals Provide executive-level ICT advisory and decision support to senior leadership Review, define, and guide Enterprise Architecture and technology standards Assess ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and organisational ICT capabilities Strengthen ICT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks Provide oversight and assurance on major technology initiatives and vendor engagements Support technology investment planning and prioritisation Guide disaster recovery, business continuity, and data protection practices Translate complex technical issues into clear, business-focused recommendations

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Innovation, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years' experience

in an ICT Manager, Head of IT, or Chief Information Officer role Proven experience across multiple ICT domains, including: ICT infrastructure and applications Enterprise Architecture Digital transformation initiatives Cybersecurity and information security Disaster recovery and business continuity Data management and data protection Cloud platforms, analytics, and SaaS solutions ICT strategy development and implementation

Other Desirabilities

Professional certifications such as

TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT/CGEIT, CISSP, PMP, or Certified CIO

Experience working in structured or highly governed ICT environments Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills Consulting or advisory experience across multiple organisations Ability to work independently while integrating into multidisciplinary teams Availability to work on-site at client locations as required

Compensation

Market-related, based on experience.
