Job Description

SA Cargo services is looking for the suitable qualified candidate to fill the above position. The position is based in Durban Head office. This role requires an individual who is confident, well-versed in all HR disciplines, and has a solid track record in delivering results within a fast-paced and people-focused environment

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full HR function including recruitment, performance management, training & development, employee relations, payroll liaison, and compliance.

Strategic Planning & Management



Ensure that any changes to relevant legislation or changing circumstances affecting the Company, are taken into account n the development of human resource policies and procedures Ensuring smooth functioning of human resources department Involved in human resource day to day activities Responsible for all Industrial Relations issues Conducting interviews, selection and recruitment

HR & Organisational Structure



Ensure the availability of the right number of people, who are qualified, competent and motivated individuals.

To conduct appropriate recruitment and selection methods that support the company's needs and that are in line with the current recruitment and equity legislation.

HR Management & Development



Provide continuous guidance, facilitation and assistance to all aspects of HR and Industrial relations (IR)

To implement and comply with Employment Equity plans in the company

To improve the company's Employment Equity.

Meeting EE submission deadline

Training & Continuous development of all staff



Identify all training needs from Line Managers and staff taking performance appraisals/assessments into account

Ensure that Succession Plans are developed for all key positions.

Develop individual career path plans for each staff member

Liase with training service providers and ensure accurate records are kept

Provide a human resources advisory service to other branches of the company in relation to Industrial relations and training and development Knowledge of SETA and QTCO processes Monitor WSP & ATR and ensure that submission deadlines are met Manage training budget for the company
Minimum Requirement

Degree in HRM or related qualification At least 4 years' successful experience in a comparable role Work effectively with a diverse range of people Excellent interpersonal skills and a good understanding of human relationships. Understanding and practical knowledge of employment law and employer best practice. Ability to work with confidential information. Demonstrated experience in applying human resources management protocols. IT Skills, HRIS , Microsoft Office and knowledge of relevant softwares. A knowledge of modern technology and social media
