Human Resource Lead

Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall business goals, values and objectives.
  • Work on talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, offering guidance on HR policies, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational improvement and development and implement initiatives to enhance team and individual performance.
  • Provide support in designing and administering compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Assist in managing organizational change initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings, by providing expertise in change management practices.
  • Utilize HR data and metrics to assess trends, track progress, and make data-driven recommendations for improving HR processes and practices.
  • Ensure HR practices and policies comply with South African employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead or contribute to HR-related projects such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee engagement surveys, and HR process improvements.
  • Support employee development through onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and training programs.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and ensure that the company's HR policies are being applied consistently and fairly across the organization.
  • Support the HR Manager in delivering HR projects and initiatives eg:- WSP/ATR, employment equity etc
  • Partner with the different divisions within HR to enhance and develop projects and initiatives
Role requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • SAP experience advantageous
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in HR roles, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, SAP and HR software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Formulates concise initiatives from ideas to complete solutions
