The Mining Division has an exciting opportunity for a Human Capital Officer to be based at our operation in Richards Bay. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information.
Minimum Requirements

• Tertiary Qualification in HR

• Strong admin skills

• Minimum 5 years experience of working in a highly unionised work environment

• Working knowledge of HR systems, processes, trends, and best practices across all HR Disciplines

• Must have extensive knowledge and experience in handling IR matters

• Must have extensive experience in the full employee life cycle and best practices in human resources

• Deadline orientated

• Excellent communication skills

• Must have knowledge of LRA, BCEA and NBCRFLI Main Collectove Agreement

• Must be able to travel as and when necessary

• Must be able to deal and liaise with stakeholders across mutilpe operations within the BU

• Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and management

• Responsible for all HR admin functions

• Upload and maintain employee records on HR system

• Responsible for wage inputs

• Providing workforce stats to customer

• Plan, direct and coordinate the HR administrative functions of the business unit

• Responsible for onboarding of new employees and terminations

• Provide advice and guidance on employee benefits, provident fund, medical aid as well as HR and payroll related queries

• Able to guide line managers on IR matters

• Assist with drafting of all documents relating to disciplinary inquiries, poor work performance matters, incapacity matters, retrenchments, and grievances

• Responsible for co-ordination of recruitment process

• Responsible for implementation of all HR policies and procedures across the business unit

• Ensure compliance of HR policies and procedures by all stakeholders

• Co-ordinate training for employees
