Job Description

The Human Resources manager will assist the organization with developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other staff-related issues. Assist relevant parties with performance discussions, disciplinary, disciplinary enquires and CCMA. Manage the recruitment and selection process, including all aspects such as recruitment platforms, recruitment agency agreements, onboarding and induction of new staff. Manage HR Administrator, Receptionist and Cleaners: Responsible for the direct management and supervision of the HR Administrator and receptionist Arrange security when required including overtime on weekends, public holidays or during shutdown periods. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of human capital. Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization. Oversee and manage a performance management system that drives high performance based on agreed and set goals. Ensure legal compliance throughout Human resource management function. Develop revise and recommend HR policies and procedures. Manage the Human Resources administrative function including ensuring that HR system is up to date Capture Payroll timeously and prepare reports for Finance and Ops Manager Submit UIF reports to UIF and ensure receipt and accurate capturing of information with no errors Submit EE report annually Assist the organization with succession planning. Manage the employee life cycle, including induction of new employees and exit interviews. Co-ordinate social events such as year end function, spring function etc Arrange Board meetings and take minutes Report monthly on HR activities and relevant information at board meetings

Requirements



+10 years in a HR, min 4 years HR Management experience

Min 3 years payroll experience

(Non Negiotable)*
Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related discipline preferred

(Non negotiable)*
Retail / Sales industry preferred but not required. In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills. Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

Based: Midrand

Type: 6 months contract with the possibility to become permanent

Salary: R25 000 - R33 000 per month ctc gross

Education:

Bachelors (Preferred)
Experience:

HR Management: 4 years (Required) Payroll: 3 years (Required) HR related: 10 years (Preferred)
