Seeking a dynamic Human Resource professional to play a key role within the HR and Naranja Packers team. This role focuses on HR operational, compliance and administrative activities, including documenting processes and maintaining employee records in line with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements. The HR Officer will implement the company's human resource strategy and provide efficient and effective HR service delivery to employees and managers.
Key Accountability Areas1. Recruitment, Onboarding and Orientation
Implement recruitment strategies and standard operating procedures.
Execute the full recruitment process, from job advertising and interview coordination to onboarding and orientation of new employees.
Administer employment and housing contracts.
Liaise with the Department of Labour and other recruitment platforms where required.
2. Performance Management
Implement the performance appraisal process and systems within the division.
Ensure all employees are evaluated in line with their position profiles and that all records are updated on the HR Information System.
3. HR Policies and Compliance
Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures to all employees.
Collect, analyse and compile Employment Equity statistics for reporting purposes.
Prepare for and lead HR legislative and compliance audits.
Manage stakeholder engagement and maintain professional relationships.
Report on compliance and ethical issues.
4. Employee Engagement and Well-being
Implement strategies to enhance employee morale, engagement and satisfaction.
Manage and organise staff wellness and employee events.
Coordinate CSR and CSI projects.
Coordinate mobile clinics for employees.
5. Administration and Reporting
Ensure effective communication across all levels.
Perform accurate and timely data capturing and reporting, including time and attendance, employee movements and other HR reports.
Organise workplace forum meetings and keep minutes.
Conduct housing inspections.
Create and maintain personnel files.
6. IR Administration
Compile charge sheets for disciplinary hearings and ensure correct forms are used for warnings and grievances.
Schedule disciplinary hearings and grievance facilitation meetings.
Execute all HR administrative functions and support HR projects.
