"HR Generalist (JB3955)

Secunda, Mpumalanga

R20 000 to R23 000 a month

A company that specializes in civil construction, structural steel, refurbishment, mechanical equipment installation, pressure vessel installation, and piping is looking for an HR Generalist to join their Team. With 20 years of combined leadership experience in the construction and engineering industry, they are dedicated to diversity as a 100% black-owned Level 1 BBBEE-certified entity. Their services cover on-site construction, repairs, and maintenance, emphasizing diligence and efficiency

Minimum Requirements:

BCom in HR or related field

A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a proven track record in handling various HR functions

Strong knowledge and experience in managing compensation and benefits programs

Proficiency in recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, including interviewing, job posting, and candidate evaluation

A deep understanding of labour laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure the organization operates within legal boundaries

Ability to consult with top executives on strategic HR planning, aligning HR practices with the company's long-term goals

Act as a liaison between the organization's management and employees to address workplace issues, conflicts, and concerns

Knowledge and experience in Health and Safety training and related programs to ensure compliance with government regulations and maintain a safe work environment

Proficiency in processing payroll accurately and promptly, including tax withholding, deductions, and reporting

Capable of conducting disciplinary actions, including investigations, employee counselling, and adherence to the company's disciplinary policies

Regularly update and communicate HR policies and procedures to employees, ensuring adherence to the latest industry standards and legal requirements

Maintain and organize employee records, including personnel files, performance reviews, and benefits documentation

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry standards

Collaborate with department heads and executives to align HR strategies with the company's objectives

Manage compensation and benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee incentives

Oversee recruitment efforts, from job posting to candidate selection, to attract and retain top talent

Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, conducting regular audits and updates

Act as the point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts, resolving issues and providing guidance

Implement health and safety training programs to maintain a safe and compliant work environment

Process payroll accurately and timely, addressing any payroll-related issues

Conduct disciplinary actions, investigations, and coaching when necessary, following company policies and legal guidelines

Regularly update HR policies and procedures, communicate changes to employees, and provide training as needed

Maintain and secure employee records in accordance with privacy and legal requirements

Conduct benefit analysis and recommend improvements to benefit packages based on industry trends and employee needs
