HR Generalist (JB464)
Mount Edgecombe, Durban
R25000 – R30 000 per month TCTC
 
Kontak Recruitment is currently sourcing and recruiting on behalf of a large Manufacturing concern for a HR Generalist vacancy to be based in Mount Edgecombe, Durban, KZN. The HR Generalist should have strong IR and HR experience within the manufacturing sector and the ability to deal with unions and build strong and meaningful relationships with staff and unions. The HR Generalist post would be best suited to a candidate who is able to adapt easily to ever changing environments.
 
TCTC includes medical aid and pension fund
Educational Requirements for the HR Generalist:
Grade 12
Tertiary in HR
 
Additional Requirements:
Previous experience as an HR Generalist within a Manufacturing concern
Strong IR knowledge and experience
Experience in dealing with Unions
Strong personality to deal with shop stewards and unions
Ability to build strong relationships with employees, more specifically with shop stewards, blue collar workers and unions
Initiate to find answers and resolve issues
Good negotiation skills
Recruitment of staff on all levels
Strong emotionally
Willing to learn and grow in career
Initiative to reach out and build relationship with colleagues in HR based in other regions
Must be willing to travel and spend two days per week on site in adjacent suburb
Must be structured and process driven
Adaptable to an ever-changing environment
