My client is seeking a highly motivated HR Executive to join their team. This role is based in Umhlanga Ridge, Durban.

As the HR Executive, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's human capital strategy and fostering a positive work culture. You will be responsible for a diverse range of HR functions, ensuring seamless implementation and alignment with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities:

Human Resource Management:

  • Design and implement organizational structures, job profiles, staffing norms, and pay scales to optimize efficiency.
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, promotion/demotion, and termination/separation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee monthly payroll processing, taxation, and reconciliations, including time and attendance management.
  • Administer expatriate-related matters such as quotas, travel, visas, and permits.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives, including bursaries, competency assessments, and training programs.
  • Implement performance management strategies to enhance individual and team effectiveness.
  • Handle industrial relations matters, including wage negotiations, employee engagement, grievances, and dispute resolution.
  • Responsible for the Payroll department.
Strategy, Communication, and Culture:
  • Facilitate the development and dissemination of organizational strategies and goals.
  • Align and nurture the company's culture through various initiatives and interventions.
  • Conduct culture surveys and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead internal communication efforts to foster transparency and engagement.
  • Plan and organize cultural events to promote employee morale and unity.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in a senior HR role with exposure to diverse HR functions.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
