Job Description


Your Role:
As an HR & Compliance Manager, you'll lead the charge in ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a dynamic workplace. Your responsibilities will include managing Black Economic Enterprises (BEE) compliance, quality management, procurement, sustainability, and more. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the HR and Compliance landscape.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Compliance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in HR, Compliance, or similar roles, ideally in a global setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of South African labour laws and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • ISO certification and auditing experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of B-BBEE and sustainability principles.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Black Economic Enterprises (BEE) Compliance:
  • Source, evaluate, and develop BEE partnerships in accordance with relevant legislation and codes.
  • Budget control to ensure accurate expenditure on BEE initiatives.
Quality Management:
  • Act as a Quality Management Representative for Supplier Management.
  • Maintain B-BBEE plan and generate monthly scorecards, monitoring all B-BBEE scorecard pillars.
Compliance Oversight:
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed.
  • Establish and implement structures for tender adjudication.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Implement effective communication strategies with relevant stakeholders.
Procurement and Supply Chain:
  • Track and analyse various management reports to manage the procurement cycle.
  • Effectively manage contracts and SLAs.
Sustainability and Corporate Governance:
  • Develop and manage sustainability strategy and policy.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to corporate governance.
ISO Compliance:
  • Review and align processes, procedures, and documents with ISO standards and Group requirements.
  • Schedule and oversee internal and external audits.
Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ):
  • Conduct SHEQ risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Chair Safety Committee meetings and ensure compliance with SHEQ policies.
  • Assist in managing workplace COIDA.
  • Ensure Business Continuity plans are maintained.
HR and Legal Compliance:
  • Support an efficient HR function.
  • Ensure employment contracts comply with relevant labor laws.
  • Provide legal support related to employment matters.
  • Promote alignment of People Management processes.
  • Support expatriate employment conditions and the HIV/AIDS program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Compliance, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in HR, Compliance, or related roles, ideally in a multinational environment.
  • Knowledge of South African labor laws and compliance regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • ISO certification and auditing experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of B-BBEE and sustainability principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
