Position: Tax and Compliance Manager
Location: Johannesburg East, Gauteng
Salary: R 1 200 000.00 - R 1 450 000.00 per annum

This Manufacturing multinational entity is looking for a tax professional to join their diverse finance team. This opportunity will allow you to explore all spheres in the tax space on a global scale with a reputable and well-established finance and tax team. This company has been in operation for many decades and continuous to provide sustainable and innovative solutions to the market. This incumbent will be responsible for compliance and the accounting sides of the tax function. This position will be mainly focused on Africa operations and expanding those entities for the company. This role will have 5-6 direct reports and reports directly into the CFO.

:

• Tax Compliance and advisory
• Dealing with tax risk management
• Review of country specific double tax agreements
• Liaising with tax authorities locally and internationally
• Tax returns and submissions
• Dealing with tax packs
• Existing Africa tax experience is a must have
• Management of overall tax function
• Management of junior accounting staff
• Assisting EXCO with decision making
• Dealing with West Africa Operations

Qualification and Experience Required

• BCom Accounting and BCom Hons in Tax is essential
• 5 to 8 years in tax is essential
• 2 to 3 years managerial experience is essential
• International Tax experience in Africa is essential
• SAP experience is preferred
• Must have experience in the following Africa countries:

• Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Ghana, Tanzania, DRC, Mali, Senegal and Cameroon
• FMCG, Manufacturing or similar experience is beneficial
