Hospitality Operations Manager - Eastern CapeJob SummaryThis role focuses on managing teams, refining service quality, and improving operational workflows. The position also entails maintaining the logistical and infrastructural components that support the reserve's hospitality services. Working closely with senior management, the manager will drive innovation, improve guest satisfaction, and ensure the effective execution of hospitality initiatives.Candidate requirements;Must have a Degree or diploma in hotel management or a related field.Requires a minimum of 8 years senior management experience at a 5-star luxury property of which at least 5 years should be in a game reserve environment.Proven experience in guest service excellence, operational efficiency, and financial management.Must be proficiency in Microsoft Office and lodge/hotel-specific software.Exceptional leadership and management skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to service excellenceAbility to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to drive innovation and continuous improvementResponsibilities include; Develop and implement strategic plans for hospitality operationsEnsure outstanding guest experiences and service quality across all lodgesProvide leadership to other departments and foster cross-department collaboration to ensure operational excellenceManage and oversee lodge and hospitality teams to maintain high standardsDevelop budgets, control costs, and manage financial performance for the hospitality departmentsOptimize processes to ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulationsOversee the hospitality departments' HR as well as training and development initiatives and needsInitiate and drive the implementation of IT systems, technology solutions, and other support services, ensuring they are executed effectively by the responsible teams.Support and collaborate on all hospitality-related projects, such as lodge refurbishments and special initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational and guest experience standards.
