Neighbourgood, South Africaxe2x80x99s leading co-living and co-working business, is looking for a dynamic and talented Front of House with excellent all round hospitality and communication skills to join our team. As a Front of House, you'll be part of the Community Management team at Neighbourgood. You will report to your location each day to support the community, and act as the xe2x80x9cfacexe2x80x9d of Neighbourgood. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build a welcoming and collaborative community environment amongst our members and building relationships between members.
  • Work with the Community Manager and on-site teams to ensure that your location is fully operational, and processes are running efficiently.
  • Drive growth and promotion of Neighbourgood service offerings.
  • Take direction from the Community Manager to support your location as necessary.
  • Illustrate Neighbourgoodxe2x80x99s core values and work towards achieving our mission.
  • Handling and confirming boardroom bookings
  • Handling and confirming room check ins
  • Ensuring housekeeping staff services and have rooms ready for check in in conjunction with the Community manager
  • Daily checking the booking platform and preparing the team for what is required with guidance form the CM
  • Ensuring the rooms on check out is checked and lost and found items stored safely.
  • Directing early arrivals to the waiting area
  • Taking member requests and ensuring completion of the same
  • Responding to any member queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner and escalating where required.
  • Maintaining industry and hygiene standards at all times
  • Attending staff trainings and programs
  • Cover the front desk during the locationxe2x80x99s set business hours and be an on-site point of contact, easily located at reception.
  • Greet members and guests with a warm and welcoming demeanour.
  • Greet people who come in for tours, track walk-ins, schedule tours, and send confirmation emails.
  • Manage member check-ins and check-outs, alongside the Community Manager.
  • Ensure all visiting guests are in accordance with Neighbourgoodxe2x80x99s guest policy by ensuring all guests properly sign in.
  • Learn the names of members and guests with the goal of building relationships in order to facilitate the sense of community that Neighbourgood is known for.
  • Anticipate member and guest needs before they arise using relevant information collected about members to enhance and personalize their experience.
  • Keep the front desk clean and organised.
  • Notify members of any deliveries including food and/or packages.
  • Answer any questions from members and guests related to the location including way-finding, policies and procedures, community etiquette, etc.
  • Answer xe2x80x9cwalk-upxe2x80x9d member and guest questions or refer inquirer to additional resources.
  • Work on community initiatives designed to develop connections between members, including member introductions, event support, email and print communications
  • Be active within the Neighbourgood member network
  • Solve member-related issues to ensure a cohesive community.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of events, including liaising with suppliers
  • Assist with move-ins and move-outs; prepare and distribute member welcome packets
  • Assist with building operations and maintenance to ensure highest level of member experience
  • Fielding and assigning requests submitted through our app
  • Ensuring the building is clean and well-kept and assist with ordering consumables
  • Submit building receipts to the Community Manager for expense reports
  • Identify issues for escalation to the Community Manager and document accordingly
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Customer and hospitality service and/or sales experience is a must
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
  • Passion and understanding for Neighbourgoodxe2x80x99s mission and values
  • Proficient in basic computer skills

Experience:
