Job Purpose

To build and champion Thought Leadership capability with Retail and Business Banking cluster whilst collaborating with other clusters and providing input to the Group

Job Responsibilities

  • Create competencies to develop specialised insights to differentiate Nedbank in the market- responsible for designing and executing our Global Thought Leadership Program
  • Have distinctively original ideas, unique points of view, pioneering thinking and new insights and be able to work closely with business executives to translate these into new opportunities for the bank.
  • Identify and drive content in areas where stakeholders (clients, communities, staff, even competitors) recognise Nedbank as one of the foremost in selected areas of specialization resulting in RBB being the xe2x80x98go-toxe2x80x99 place for said expertise.
  • Possess the art of positioning Nedbank as a leader in specific fields with best-in class content and credibility.
  • Thought leadership on key changes in trends and help translate them to create opportunities for the bank.
  • A high degree of creativity and ability to understand all trends, how they converge and be able to articulate the opportunities and threats they may pose to the bank.
  • Exceptional writing skills and convincing communicator are critical to success, in addition to the ability to understand and disseminate complex technical information to create appealing, concise narratives.
  • Co-develop the portfolio of external speaking events where RBB executives and staff will present thought leading insights.
  • Work closely with the Comms and PR teams to create white papers, thought leadership content and insights.
  • Managing all awards identification and submission to ensure Nedbank continues to be recognised and wins awards to enhance the brand positioning in the market.
  • Work closely with social media and communications team to appropriately amplify thought leadership activities to ensure RBB has continuous voice in the market and leadership insight into the trends around
  • Maintain an xe2x80x98editorial calendarxe2x80x99 for the platform to inform internal and external parties of thought leadership activities
  • Develop a pipeline of external Subject matter experts to engage and share insights with RBB audience from Exco and across the whole cluster
  • Work closely with other thought leaders across Nedbank to share insights, leverage capability and ensure an integrated approach to positioning Nedbank in the market
  • Ability to maintain quality work under tight deadlines with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Post graduate degree esp. in journalism or related fields
Minimum Experience Level
  • 12 years working experience and relevant industry experience
