HEAD THERAPIST & In-house Trainer - Spa & Beauty

Riyadh - Saudi Arabia (KSA)

Starting Date: 01 February 2024 / Visa Pending (may take up to 3 months to clear)

Reports to: Spa Director

Contract Period: 1-year contract with option to renew

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Head Therapist (and Trainer) administers professional facials and ALL Spa Therapies to our guests. They must possess a thorough knowledge of the skin, have excellent facial massage and skin extraction techniques, possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa's specific facial treatment offerings.

They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:

• Monday - Saturday 10:00 - 22:00
• 8-hour standard shift per day
• 1 day off per week
• 30 days annual paid leave (after 1 year completed service)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: * Internationally accredited qualification in Somatology / Cosmetology / Health & Skin Care / Beauty Therapy / Spa Therapy

• CIDESCO / ITEC / CIBTAC / BABTAC or similar accredited
• BONUS - Dermal Aesthetic or B-Tech Degree Somatology
• BONUS - Train the trainer certified
• BONUS - Lash Extensions trained & certified
• BONUS - Brow Lamination
• BONUS - Lash Lift
• BONUS - Product trainer / educator / lecturer experience
• Confident command of the English Language
• Cruise Ship or other international employment experience beneficial
• a MINIMUM of 5 years industry experience of which at least 1 year must be in a supervisory role as assistant manager or Head Therapist
• Exceptionally groomed and highly presentable
• Knowledge of all trending spa services

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
• Supervise the training, development, and daily performance of Spa staff
• Schedule product knowledge and service training programs for Spa department as needed (minimum of quarterly).
• Assure consistent practice of treatment protocols
• Manage the training and orientation of all new employees on Spa Treatments, Spa Protocols Spa Policy's, body treatments, wraps, massage techniques, to ensure consistency for all services provided.
• Orient all new Spa Therapist on products utilized for Spa treatments and retail.
• Research continuing education opportunities for staff and report/assist with opportunities to Spa Management
• Perform inventory of products and report needs for ordering in a timely manner to the Spa Management / Owner
• Assist with stock take
• Research new treatments and services in order to continually update service menu and keep on top of industry growth and standards.
• Assist with external and in?house marketing ideas, and promotions as needed
• Knowledge of service and sales procedure to clients, in regard to proper/preferred booking procedures for treatments and packages.
• Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Provide consistent professional facial treatments and therapies in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Maintains safety standards and cleanliness
• Emphasizes product benefits and assist clients in the selection of retail products or services for their needs
• Maintains a consistent relationship with client base in order to ensure return clients
• Proactively develop new customers
• Attends and participates in continuing education and training in order to follow new trends and techniques
• Knowledge of Salon and Spa procedures
• Conduct salon and Spa services using appropriate product application as stated and trained.
