What will you do?

• Foster closer integration and co-ordination of the business strategy and key business deliverables from the CEO office and ensure adoption by relevant stakeholders
• Highlight key risks and areas of uncertainty to minimize exposure to significant business risks
• Act as a thought partner to enterprise leadership in the development and prioritization of long-term key business initiatives
• Translate strategic questions into a hypothesis-driven solution
• Provide solutions to complex business problems and make recommendations to the CEO and Executive Leadership team to improve business processes
• Maintain knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in related field
• Assist executive leadership in developing and aligning annual goals to business objectives while ensuring corporate standards are consistently met
• Utilize primary and secondary research to assist in identifying best practices and opportunities for the business
• Identify growth strategies and support the CEO office in executing on identified growth strategies, bringing in relevant stakeholders to ensure all required due diligence is done

Qualification and experience

• Extensive Financial Services experience in a strategic / leadership of a team or management consulting role
• MBA or Commercial/Financial related degree
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role within an investments & financial services company
• Budgets and expense management experience (including profitability)
• Business Management experience

Knowledge and skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead others in strategy roles
• Ability to lead structured problem solving with limited direction in addition to advanced critical thinking skills demonstrated through problem solving for complex business problems
• Skills in managing start up businesses or prior knowledge and experience in managing M&A transactions
• Knowledge and skills in driving a growth strategy in an investment business
