 An exciting opportunity has opened up for a senior sales leader to take charge of a high-performing sales organisation that operates at the forefront of technology and digital transformation. This pivotal role is responsible for leading the sales function across several specialist companies within South Africa, each delivering advanced solutions to industries such as mining, civil construction, AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations), geospatial, and the public sector. 
 Reporting to the Group Sales Director, this is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role -- accountable for revenue growth, large deal generation, and the development of a cohesive, cross-company sales force that delivers real impact across the region. 
 What You'll Be Doing 
 Lead the South African sales function across multiple companies 
 Identify and close large, complex opportunities--especially major deals in mining and government 
 Be the first point of contact for key accounts, shaping tenders and influencing opportunities before they go to market 
 Take a hands-on approach to unlocking strategic sales, working directly with C-suite stakeholders and procurement teams 
 Work with General Managers and Sales Managers to guide performance and support team development 
 Deliver on sales targets and ensure strong pipeline and forecasting management 
 Build and maintain strong customer relationships and act as a key point of contact for major accounts 
 Collaborate with marketing, product, support, and operations to drive results 
Requirements 
 What We're Looking For 
 Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, Engineering, or a similar field 
 At least 10 years' experience in sales or business development, with 5+ years in a leadership role 
 Background in the mining sector is preferred, or experience in similar technical industries 
 Strong understanding of long sales cycles and solution-based selling 
 Confident, persuasive, and strategic -- someone who commands credibility and can influence at the executive level 
 Ability to build relationships, coach teams, and influence at all levels 
 A stable work history--ideally 3+ years per role 
 Vvalid driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle (willing and able to travel regularly across South Africa)
