Job Description


Purpose of position:

The Aftersales Marketing Specialist / Manager will be responsible for the marketing of IAM brands including development of a marketing strategy, go to market, launch, awareness, events, campaigns, and marketing activities. This role will also provide a support function to the OEM Aftersales marketing function.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Spare Parts and/or Automotive Aftersales Marketing at an OEM or IAM level.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in areas such as: parts marketing, product planning, engineering or program management with an automotive products distributor/supplier or wholesaler and aftersales marketing (service and parts).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
  • Capacity to innovate, think out of the box and stimulate creativity.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to understand and address issues across multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen and proven leadership abilities engaging with individuals at all levels and across various regions of the organization.
  • Professional demeanor and behavior combined with a proactive and driven approach.
Responsibilities (IAM & Parts)
  • Revenue identification, product development strategy and roadmap execution:
  • Analysing carpark to define target vehicle models with quantity and breakdownfor
  • Focus on market potential by analysing vehicle aging, fill rate per commodity,ageing per commodity and target market
  • Development of revenue potential by combining carpark analysis and marketpotential with target selling
  • Monitoring market needs, obtaining benchmarks, successful implementation of new products, defining market regulations / restrictions and developing campaign
  • Provide support for the preparation of RFQs according to product plan defining target quantity to purchase and
  • Development of cross-referencing charts and applicable vehicle lists for clear and accurate product purchasing.
  • Definition of detailed product properties and implementation of required data to marketing specification document (CDC) and technical
  • Coordinate cross-functional team:
  • Purchasing to ensure competitive purchase prices for required parts and product
  • Logistics to manage shipment alternatives and import
  • Warranty to define claim process and to clarify warranty
  • Building a go to market strategy / sales presentation for Parts and IAM to launch in the market implementing effective marketing of B2B and B2C along with increasing brand recognition in South Africa
Marketing:
  • Design and implement marketing plan for IAM, Parts and OEM Aftersales
  • Coordinate with central team to standardise marketing activities for IAM, Parts and OEM Aftersales
  • Develop tools to measure marketing activities
  • Develop annual marketing budget for IAM, Parts and OEM Aftersales with a proper P&L tracking.
  • Develop weekly/monthly content plans in-line with IAM, Parts and the Companyxe2x80x99s Service and Parts brands marketing strategy and marketsxe2x80x99
  • Knowledge transfer and support to dealers and IAM and coordinate all Service & Parts, Parts and IAM marketing and communication
  • Implement the marketing communication plans and activities for IAM, Parts and the Companyxe2x80x99s Service and Parts
  • Development of marketing tools and material to support service and parts sales for OEM, Parts and IAM together with the advertising
  • Development of new sales channels and tools to e-commerce and digital marketing for service and parts sales for OEM, Parts and IAM together with the advertisement agency and internal departments
  • Relationship Management with dealer service & parts marketing team and Off-line & On-line agency partners
  • Management, development & enhancement of the company service and parts and IAM websites
Business Support:
  • Ensuring supply and availability of marketing material for dealers and IAM
  • Managing and Monitoring PR / PO requests of marketing spending of aftersales team
  • Providing and sharing KPI of performance following guidelines of the company
Market Research:
  • Collect, compile, and analyze marketing and communication activities of main
  • Create weekly / monthly reports detailing competitor activities and advertisements in the region and best practices from
New Product Launch:
  • Working closely with internal-department (sales, product, marketing and aftersales) and Coordination on New Product Launch marketing activity for Aftersales
  • Work with the launch team lead to co-ordinate the activities of Service & Parts marketing and PR
  • Development of marketing tools & material with specified time; communication and co- ordination with internal departments with regards to launch activities
