Job Summary

An innovative company whose core business is that of a digital wallet app is looking for a Senior Head of Sales and Marketing to join their tight knit team. Their app is instant, easy, and affordable and makes for a great user experience for anyone with a smartphone. Once the app is downloaded all you need to do is choose between a virtual or debit card, or both and then you are all set to save, spend, and shop, all from one app. This is a chance for you to join a company, ahead of its time and well on their way to becoming a real disruptor in the digital banking space in South Africa.

Your mission:

• Develop a robust sales and marketing strategy for the business and build on existing structures in place if possible.
• Manage and mentor the existing sales leadership structures to optimize effectiveness
• Bring innovation to the field sales model and develop reward structures and incentive plans based on clear KPIs that align to strategic targets
• Identify marketing initiatives together with the marketing function to support the sales plans including digital platforms
• Research the market, understand customer requirements and analyze trends.
• Bring insights to the Senior Management team based on your experience but also in-depth analysis of this target market and product

A bit about you:

• 15 years or more Sales and Marketing experience in an entrepreneurial or small to medium sized business
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Sales and Marketing role in a small to medium sized business
• Hands on field sales experience and the ability to demonstrate achievement in such environments
• Proven growth in your career alongside a growing company
• Strong knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.
• Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data and trends and take action as required
• Experience within Mobile money and /or FinTech environments would be a distinct advantage
• Familiarity and passion for the start-up environment
• Must have a degree and know and understand the LSM in South Africa
