Duties:

Working with leading edge technologies
Planning and drafting specifications and designs and then developing test jigs, test hardware and/or firmware
Maintaining and automating tests / test jigs
Maintaining company test standards and requirements
Being a team player yet able to work individually when required
Attention to detail, and quality and specification driven
Sound knowledge of development processes
Sound verbal and written communication and report writing skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work across the spectrum of diverse personalities and cultures
Delivery driven, energetic and flexible
Guiding, coaching and teaching, where necessary, your peers

Requirements:

BEng Degree
Experience in hardware and firmware development engineering
Ni LabView or Veristand experience (2-5 years)
Experience in Altium Designer (schematic design tools); C programming language; and Python
Experience in automating test instruments and the verification of tests
Experience in source code control and issue tracking
An understanding of communication protocols and buses (CAN, ModBus, TCP-IP, UDP, RS-232, and GPIB)
Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits; sensors; and digital signal processing etc.
