Group Procurement Manager - Direct Spend Procurement ~ Supply Chain

Job Purpose
Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, seeks an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager to oversee and coordinate all planning and supply activities. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal efficiency and productivity in product supply while maintaining desired stock levels and aligning with demand forecasts. Good experience in packaging and raw material sourcing is essential, so is understanding of regulatory compliance.
Required Learning

• Relevant Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics, or B.Com Finance.
• Minimum 5 years planning experience, ideally in the Pharma or FMCG industry.
• 35 years Supply Chain experience in warehousing/logistics.
• 35 years managerial experience.
• Knowledge of advanced supply chain planning tools, such as Oracle, is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cost increases and negotiate reductions aligned with volume growth.
• Implement and maintain cost measurement and reporting systems.
• Oversee supplier service agreements and relationship management.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders, including Regulatory Affairs, suppliers, and production teams.
• Drive SOP implementation and measure compliance.
• Optimize planning processes through advanced systems like ASCP, Demantra, and Oracle.
• Ensure timely responses to queries and maintain service level agreements.
• Source and evaluate alternate suppliers to ensure competitive and stable supply.
• Manage inventory levels to meet customer service and stock objectives.
• Lead projects for implementing new raw materials, inactives, and packaging.
• Provide leadership that fosters creativity, collaboration, and process improvement.
